Even when you're trying to suspend disbelief and take the movie on face value, it's hard to believe that they had Stanwyck falling for some of the schmucks she did.<BR/><BR/>I had always read that Monroe Owsley was superior in the part of Ned Seton, than was Lew Ayres in the remake.
